The purpose of this site is to keep everybody up to date with the books and projects that I'm working on right now, and to provide a running tally of all the music (and otherwise) books I've published over the past 25 years. All hundred-and-something-teen of them.
It's all very basic right now, but I have included a full bibliography, plus links to a few recent reviews.
This is also the place to visit if you're looking for copies of those rare and out of print titles, as well as a new series of Internet exclusives. The first batch of books, TV Smith, Otway-Barrett, Suede, Footnotes from the Archives of Oblivion, Space Daze and Fierce Fiction (a non-musical title), is already available from Amazon.com, or direct from the links on this site - just click on the illustrations above.
The next go-round will likely include two long-awaited and oft-requested reprints: THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION and GROWING UP WITH JOHN'S CHILDREN, together with the brand-new ARMCHAIR GUIDE TO 10CC, the THOSE WE HAVE LOVED soccer trilogy and a series of collected articles and reviews, dating back to the late 1970s.
